Simone Marc shoots lifestyle fashion for Jaz Hand Made

Tasked with creating contemporary lifestyle imagery for Jaz Hand Made, local photographer Simone Marc chose Barcola Studio as the setting to bring these stunning pieces to life.

Simone explains, “I was briefed to do a fashion shoot for an Australian designed jewellery brand called Jaz Hand Made, showcasing some of their most popular pieces. They are a quality jewellery brand with styles for both everyday wear and more formal occasions. I wanted to show this versatility through styling and felt that Barcola Studio was the perfect fit.”

“The studio has a very rustic feel with a lot of texture and character, which gives the images a lot of dimension and elevates the overall mood and look of an image. In addition, there’s so many different spaces to shoot, which allowed me to show a variety of styles, and produce a broader range of images from the one session”.

 So what was it like to shoot at Barcola? We asked Simone about her experience…

“Shooting at Barcola has been one of the best studio experiences that I've had as a photographer so far. Barcola Studio is a creative's dream shoot location. Everything you see is on wheels and easily moveable, allowing you to take the space and really make it your own.

The space is large and fully air-conditioned, making it great to shoot in for a longer time, especially in Queensland’s warmer seasons. There’s also some great add-ons in terms of lighting and props that were super easy to set up and use.”

The results speak for themselves – a few of our favourites are shown here. The images were used on the client’s website and in socials.

 We loved watching Simone storyboard, produce and shoot this campaign and are impressed with the results. We can’t wait to welcome Simone back again for her next campaign shoot.
