Olfactory Dept creates stunning storytelling imagery

Depicting a traveller returning home, relaxing and enjoying the gentle reminder of his travels through room scents, this shoot is one we absolutely loved.

The series tells a story for Olfactory Department - a bespoke, hand poured candle maker, with a passion for creating fragrances that capture the essence of emotions and experiences.

Founder and Head Nose at Olfactory Department, Ian Ireland, said:

“We were drawn to Barcola Studio because of its character. The handmade elements, vintage charm and cosy furniture provided the perfect backdrop for the mood we wanted to portray.”

Engaging interiors photographer, Carin Garland, was integral to creating the authentic, real home feel of an evening at home. Using a combination of natural and artificial light, Carin crafted a stunning series that connects the viewer with feelings of warmth, comfort and coming home.

The results narrate Olfactory’s brand story beautifully, and are a testament to this client’s creative vision and collaborative approach.
